I've come to believe that staying...I hear ya, Burb. I've come to believe that staying home with your kids all day and then sending them off to K-garten is a BAD thing to do. Sure, I'd like to stay home with him more, but even if I was a stay-at-home I think I'd send him to a quality daycare center. It's not just "socialization", either, unless part of the socialization process is gaining independence. Among my circle, I see better things out of the kids who go to preschool. Certain people in our society like to make a fuss about the tragedy of parents (read: women) who work and how it's harmful for kids to go to daycare, blah blah. Still, they never seem to have a problem with shipping them off to someone else's care once they reach the completely self-sufficient age of . . . 5. So arbitrary, man!<BR/><BR/>Stevie has one more week before he starts private K at his current daycare.
